Ms. Kohl earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, with dual majors in accounting and corporate finance. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Kohl was a law clerk in the Eastern District of California for the Honorable Garland E. Burrell, Jr.
Prior to joining the Roman Catholic Diocese of Las Vegas as its General Counsel and Director of Human Resources, Ms. Kohl was a shareholder/partner with the long-time Las Vegas law firm of Beckley Singleton where she served as a member of the Board of Directors and oversaw the Human Resource Department. Ms. Kohl then became a partner with the regional law firm of Lewis and Roca upon its merger with Beckley Singleton. While in these private practices, Ms. Kohl was a member of both the Litigation and Labor and Employment practice groups. Over her 20-plus years of practice, Ms. Kohl has concentrated her practice on tort, business and employment litigation.
Ms. Kohl is a member of both the Clark County Bar Association and the Nevada State Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in both State and Federal Courts in the State of Nevada, as well as in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
