Archbishop Thomas Issues Statement on New CEO of Catholic Charities

ARCHBISHOP THOMAS ISSUES STATEMENT ON NEW 
 CEO OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES

(November 19, 2024) — Archbishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D., has issued the following statement on the selection of a new CEO for Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada: 

“I wish to extend a warm Las Vegas welcome to Sara Ramirez, the new Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Catholic Charities, which has long been a beacon of hope, service, and compassion in Las Vegas.

Sara brings a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to social justice, and a vision that aligns perfectly with the mission of upholding the dignity of every person and serving those in need. I am confident that her leadership will build upon the legacy of Deacon Tom Roberts, further inspiring and empowering the dedicated staff and volunteers at Catholic Charities to continue their mission.
