Read LetterLAS VEGAS (April 24, 2023) — The 29th Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Encounter in Spanish was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 22nd and 23rd, 2023. The theme for this year's event was "I Am the Bread of Life," and it was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center - South Hall. The conference included a series of talks, a Holy Hour, and Mass, with the principal celebrant being Bishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D.
The event featured a Eucharistic procession, adoration, and an opportunity for confession. Attendees heard from several renowned speakers including Fr. John Mario Montoya, Fr. Eugenio Cardenas, Fr. Guillermo Campizano, Fr. Miguel Corral, and Fr. Rogelio Molina. Each speaker shared their insights and experiences on the theme of the conference, providing valuable spiritual guidance to those in attendance.
One of the highlights of the event was the closing Mass on Sunday, April 23rd at 5 p.m. which was open to everyone. Bishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D. was the principal celebrant, and he was joined by Bishop Gregory Gordon and diocesan priests as concelebrants. The Mass was a beautiful and powerful celebration of faith, and it brought together people from all over the region to worship and give thanks.
