Archbishop Thomas has asked each of our parishes to pray often the following vocation prayer. It is no secret that when such prayers are prayed in faith, good results happen. Lord Jesus Christ,
you came that we might have life,
and have it more abundantly.
You call each of us to a life of holiness,
serving You and one another,
to build up your kingdom of peace and justice and love.
Open the hearts of those
who are being called by You
to a vocation to Priesthood or Religious Life.
Give them the courage they need
to respond generously to your call
that we, the Church of Las Vegas,
nourished in Word and Sacrament,
may shine your Light ever more brightly
in our world today.
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
