A Statement of the U.S. Catholic Bishops
We remember and give thanks for all those who have embraced the mission of catechesis throughout the ages. We remember that "catechesis is intimately bound up with the whole of the Church's life." (CT, no. 13), and we know that the most effective catechesis is integrated with liturgy, sacraments, and works of justice and charity.
The Department of Faith Formation, in collaboration with the Ann and Joe O. Neuhoff School of Ministry of the University of Dallas, began Phase II of our three phase coursework towards a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry. Phase II includes courses in the following areas: Introduction to the Old Testament, Introduction to the New Testament, Promoting Discipleship, Christian Anthropology: Sin & Grace, Morality & Social Justice and Ministry in a Multicultural Church. All courses are offered in both English and Spanish. There are currently 53 students enrolled in this program! Please pray for our students and professors as we work together to build our knowledge and understanding in order to better proclaim the teachings of the Church in word and in deed!
