Pope Francis Sends Letter on Immigration to U.S. Bishops.
Read LetterInspirada, NV (March 4, 2024) — Parishioners from throughout the Archdiocese of Las Vegas gathered at Liberty High School in Henderson for the first Mass of the newest parish, St. John Paul II on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Fr. Shawn Dresden, pastor of the newest Parish was in the entryway greeting visitors and future parishioners as they entered the high school auditorium to celebrate the first Mass for the parish.
As Mass concluded, Fr. Dresden also highlighted the generosity shown to the new parish as St. Francis gave hosts for the Mass, the Guardian Angel Cathedral provided vestments and other liturgical items were provided from other generous donors.
"This was a wonderful first weekend celebrating Mass for the newest Parish. I look forward to growing this faith community and working with the laity as we embark on this journey of establishing St. John Paul II," commented Fr. Dresden.
