LAS VEGAS (June 10, 2024) – Employees from the Archdiocese of Las Vegas spent their morning on June 7, volunteering at Catholic Charities serving meals and helping in the dining area.
A team of 12 employees, participated in the day of service, serving hot meals to those in need. “Catholic Charities is the cornerstone of hope and compassion for many in need in our Southern Nevada community,” said Marcus Valerio, CFO of the Archdiocese of Las Vegas. "Volunteering at Catholic Charities is much more than giving time, it is about bringing hope and dignity, while strengthening our own faith and community."
The volunteers were divided into groups; serving meals, cleaning tables, wiping down food trays, and assisting those with physical difficulties. The meal served for lunch consisted of sloppy joes, potato chips, and vegetables. The total number of meals served was 363.
