LAS VEGAS (Oct. 22, 2024) — Archbishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D. celebrated Mass at the newly established St. John Paul II Parish in Inspirada, NV on Sunday, October 20, marking a significant moment for the local Catholic community. This special liturgy drew parishioners and guests from across the region, all eager to witness the historic occasion and participate in the solemn Mass.
As part of the celebration, Archbishop Thomas presented the parish with a first-class relic of Saint John Paul II, a significant gift to the newly established Parish. The relic, a small amount of blood from the beloved Saint, was formally presented to Fr. Shawn Dresden, Pastor of St. John Paul II.
The Mass concluded with a reception, where parishioners gathered to reflect on the profound significance of the day and the blessings it heralded for their community. Currently, Mass is being held at Liberty High School, located at 3700 Liberty Heights Ave, Henderson, NV 89052, with Mass at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. each Sunday.
