Jan. 9, 2025 (Las Vegas, NV) – Archbishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D., of the Archdiocese of Las Vegas, has issued the following statement regarding the devastating wildfires sweeping through Southern California:
"I join Archbishop Gomez and the clergy of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in calling for prayers for all those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California. My heart goes out to those who have lost family members, their homes and livelihoods.
Together we lift up in prayer all the suffering, as well as the courageous firefighters and first responders selflessly risking their lives to protect others. Together we ask Our Lady of the Angels to intercede for them as we pray for an end to this devastation."###
